More Than
A Curry House.
A Legend.
It started with a single grill on Morley Street in 1976. Today, The International is the beating heart of Bradford’s world-famous curry scene. A family legacy built on passion, spice, and serving the community for nearly 50 years.
Bradford’s original family feast since 1976
The International began life on Morley Street in the mid seventies as a simple idea: generous Kashmiri and Pakistani cooking, a warm welcome and a dining room where families, friends and big groups could gather late into the night.
Taxi drivers, night shift workers, students and families were our first regulars. Word spread that there was a place in Bradford where the grills arrived still sizzling, the curries were bold and comforting, and no one was rushed off the table.
Many of those early favourites are still here today, alongside new recipes created by the next generation of our kitchen team. The look of the restaurant has evolved with each refurb, but the heart of the place has stayed the same.
For nearly five decades, The International has been the backdrop for birthdays, match nights, graduations and everyday catch ups. Whether you have been coming since the seventies or you are planning your first visit, you are part of that story now.
